A Daruma's Dream

Daruma often dreams of its eye being filled at last when a wish or goal has been fulfilled. It rocks about patiently for the day to arrive.

It was a special occasion for the small rocking Daruma. Its left eye was finally shaded, imbuing it with the love and dedication of change from fulfilling a dream. Golden Bear noticed the change and smiled in surprise, his expression warm like the sun. “O bear, Daruma looks so honeylike!” Other family members realized the change one by one and Daruma rocked from side to side so excitedly that it fell over, for a second, before rising back up again. Daruma started to rock in various ways and turned in circles to show its celebratory milestone of a lifetime.
